Portrait of a House Manager

Prestige Recruit was created over 10 years ago to help families in the south of France, Paris, and all over Europe, to manage their luxury properties and bring serenity to their homes. Let me tell you why and how I hatched this idea.

A FAMILY HISTORY

Born into a family line of housekeepers and chefs in the most prestigious residences, I am now the 7th generation to carry on this profession, and I happily remember the family stories told by my grandmother. One of my earliest ancestors, Louise, worked as a governess during the reign of Henri IV, and this tradition was passed on to my great-grandfather, who was head chef in a prominent Bourgeois family.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been surrounded by stories about domestic staff, management, and personal service. Growing up, I always knew that I would follow this path, passionate about the idea of contributing to the well-being and peace of mind of families. These stories shaped my love for the profession and taught me the values of dedication, excellence, and discretion.

THE BIRTH OF PRESTIGE RECRUIT

Trained as an accountant, I spent many years working in this field for an international company, before being struck by the boredom of sitting for hours on end. It was in 2008, after an accident that left me confined to my home, that the project was born. During my convalescence, I had to call on a personal assistance company to help me with the upkeep of my home. I noticed several shortcomings in the company’s procedures, and that’s when things clicked for me: I wanted to create my own company to offer top-of-the-range, quality services. That same year, I founded AALP’CFO, a personal services company. Thanks to successful word-of-mouth, I came across a couple of doctors who were having problems with their nanny and cleaning lady, and who wanted me to help them.

That’s how Prestige Recruit was born.

BECOMING HOUSE MANAGER

I was lucky enough to meet someone who taught me so much about this career, which now enables me to support my customers from A to Z. Being a House Manager means having the qualities of honesty, availability, and dedication. It means knowing how to say no to your customer when it makes more sense to do so. It means representing your customer in neighborhood quarrels or co-ownership meetings. Furthermore, it also involves recruiting employees, training them, and monitoring their progress. My job also implies optimizing finances and consumption. I aim to make life as peaceful as possible for these families so that when they arrive at their property, they can truly relax.

My background, rooted in a rich family tradition and forged by personal experience, led me to create Prestige Recruit to offer top-of-the-range, personalized services, ensuring the serenity and well-being of the families I accompany.

My goal? To continue to provide you with unique and tailored support.

Serenely Yours,

Catherine Cornet.
